Dear Visitor,

Welcome to our story, Hinterstoder and the Fleischerei. The former Fleischerei entered our life in 2011 and at the time it had been empty for some years.  We wanted to open our own business and also do something that would also support Hinterstoder, the town we have chosen to raise our family in.

 Why Fleischerei?

The plans changed many times but the why never did. We knew we wanted to do something just a little different, to add something we would be proud of and really – somewhere we would like to visit for a coffee, a glass of wine or to take our family for a week of holidays.  We like staying in Apartments / Ferien Wohnungen and believe others do to.

We wanted to commit to the development of Hinterstoder as we believe it is a special corner of the Alps.  We also wanted to show that country living does not need to be without some of the style that the city likes to think it has by exclusion.

Our story:

Yvonne was raised in Hinterstoder and then travelled to Lech Am Arlberg to finish her hospitality training in the Rote Wand Hotel. After this she travelled to Bermuda, France, the US, New Zealand and beyond always working in Hospitality. She worked in Private Yachts for several years and through this became aware of an interest and talent for design.

Brendan is Australian and a Ship’s Captain. He and Yvonne met in 2001 and then worked together travelling the world on several private yachts. Brendan first visited Hinterstoder in 2002 and even with the choice to live a coastal life in Australia he has chosen the mountains.

Fabienne and Scarlett are our daughters and they already have strong views on hospitality and provide guidance from the kids perspective.

Marion

Marion is a career hospitality professional in the classic Austrian way. She is quick with a smile and a joke and takes pride in service.  Her baking is beginning get a name and we are always excited to see what new cakes are served. . .
