Hiking in Hinterstoder takes you through wide valleys, to lush alpine pastures and up to the highest peak regions with the rugged peaks of the Limestone Alps as a great destination for experienced mountain hikers.     Our top tips for hiking in Hinterstoder are the Schiederweiher and the Steyr-Ursprung. On the way to these two refreshing bodies of water, you pass through the heart of the region over comparatively easy terrain - perfect for getting an overview of the extensive Pyhrn-Priel offering.

    The via ferrata in the immediate vicinity of the town is the perfect introduction to the regional offerings. Prepare for the longest via ferrata in Austria at the Großer Priel!
     

  • PARAGLIDING
    Simply stand above things – or even float. The Hinterstoder flight school makes it possible, from the trial offer to the paragliding course to the tandem flight.
     

  • OUTDOOR ADVENTURE
    The large outdoor camp in Hinterstoder turns your summer vacation into an adventure trip. High ropes course, canyoning, giant swing and Riverbug (fun rafting) make your action heart beat faster.

    Would you like to cool down? The local outdoor swimming pool is just a five-minute walk from your apartment. Other lakes can be found within a few minutes by car.
